I'm so sorry I've been so mia for last week! I just finished up my finals & happy that I'll have a week of freedom! Over the course of the weeks, I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with school, wedding planning, juggling two part-time jobs (both I dearly enjoy), & etc. It's been such a rough week for me but God always has a way of showing up in the midst of my chaos. I'm so thankful for having people in my life who keep me grounded with the word, love me in my lowest, and remind me that God is always in control. More updates to come!

lately loving

Hello! I have some exciting news! David and I have officially started looking for apartments! It'll be our first time moving out together so we're pretty thrilled! Lately, I've been pinning a lot of home inspirations so I've put together a couple of my favorite images. I know it’s impossible to have all these features without breaking the bank but a girl can dream right? ;) I absolutely love big windows, hardwood floors, and natural lighting. As first-timers, we'd love some advice on what to look for during our search and any advice you'd like to give us! Thanks for being part of our journey!

wedding invites update

Happy Monday friends! I hope you guys had a lovely weekend! David and I have finally started our little diy projects for our wedding. We’re making these beautiful concrete candles to use as centerpieces for the wedding! We definitely underestimated the time & money that goes into all these diy projects! We still have about three months left to finish the mini details of the wedding so hopefully we’ll have enough time to finish them. Besides looking forward to the diy sessions, David and I were really excited for our wedding invitations. Our talented friend Dianuh designed our invitations for us and we’re so happy with the outcome! She did such an impeccable job! Doesn’t it look like us? Can’t wait to get these printed!

diy popsicles

Now that David and I are finished with the big details of our wedding (venue, food, invitations, etc) we're really looking forward to making our wedding feel more personal with the things we love. If you know us, we're big suckers for popsicles so we're contemplating whether to go with a dessert table or have a cute popsicle stand! Any thoughts or suggestions? I think it's perfect since we will be having a summer wedding!

words

Reminder to self, slow down and seize the moment.

dress experience

Finding your wedding dress may be one of the most exciting yet stressful times! During this process, I felt very overwhelmed, tired, but excited at the same time. I visited four bridals shops with my wonderful maid of honor and each experience was different. The first shop I checked out was The Dresser in downtown Fullerton. This is where it all started.. I really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful dresses and tried on a countless number of them. The girl who helped me was very patient and helpful during this process. Two pieces of advice I'd like to share with you all, prepare yourself to answer a lot of questions and don't feel bad voicing out your opinions! It's good to be honest and critical during this process. A couple of other bridal shops I visited were David’s Bridal, LovelyBride and J Crew. My visit to Lovely Bride was very special because the designer was present during my fitting! All the dresses that were showcased were absolutely stunning! I was pretty bummed because I came out empty handed from the shop. I thought I had lost all hope until I visited J Crew's wedding boutique at The Grove. The girl who assisted me was very easygoing, made me feel comfortable, and didn't ask a lot of questions (& I totally understand it's their job to ask a lot of questions but personally I didn't enjoy the Q&A part of it). To sum up my experience, I'd have to say that J Crew was my favorite. If you're looking for an elegant and affordable dress, check out J Crew's wedding collection!
